You need shaved ice to survive our hot humid summer in Japan.  Two are shaved ice of different toppings, and the penguin one is a popular design of shaved ice maker like the one in the 3rd picture.  You put ice in the penguin and roll the handle, and then the shaved ice come out from the penguin's jaw like in the picture.
